Dr. Andre Warren
Dr. Andre Warren is an education professional with 20 years of experience. He served 15 of those years in Davidson County, at various schools in classroom teacher and school leadership roles at the middle and high school levels.
Many of those years were spent as a turnaround instructional leader for schools in priority status. Under his instructional leadership many schools achieved level 5 status, either in specific content areas and/or schoolwide.
Andre transitioned to the Tennessee Department of Education, as the Director of Leadership Development, where his role included working with principals, assistant principals, and district level instructional supervisors by developing, facilitating, and supporting leaders with professional growth. These opportunities focus on building and sustaining an effective leader at all phases of a leaders’ career, setting high standards for effective leadership based on research and best practices, supporting leaders to reach those standards, and empowering districts to build a network of exceptional instructional leaders, who get results. During his time, 98% of participants agreed or strongly agreed that “My capacity as an instructional leader to apply the new skills and/or knowledge to my job increased.”
He graduated from Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Mathematics and M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. He received his Doctoral Degree in Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University.
Andre is addicted to sweets but loves to work out and have fun. He resides in Nashville, TN with his family, where the kid’s schedules wreak havoc.
